Spring on The Moss (Holly Flower)

Holly bushes are self-seeding around the woodland fringes of Lindow Moss, no doubt from berries carried there and dropped by birds.  Their clusters of pink buds open in May to dazzlingly white flowers with a pink tinge at the petal edges against the deep, shiny green of their leaves. A real treat!
