Rough Tor, Fowey/ Bodmin Moor

The many storeys of the Tor rise up and up, both regular and irregular – at once a palace and a wilderness. Occupied from Neolithic times by the earliest settlers in Britain, this ancient site epitomises the balance between humans and nature, natural and artificial swaying between human dominance and back again over millennia.
