Mossy Autumn (Oak Trees, Umber)

This stand of fine oak trees is to the south of The Moss and still carrying its leaves as some are still green and others fading to brown and yellow. You can just make out a bat box high up the trunk and facing north so that the summer sun does not overheat it. The bracken on the open woodland floor is dying back for winter.
